Baby Mia’s Central Illinois In-Home Newborn Session
Today, I have the sweetest little girl to share with you! Meet baby Mia. 💕 Angela reached out to book Mia’s Central Illinois in-home newborn session before she was even born. Like so many new parents, though, once Mia arrived they realized they wanted a little more time to rest, recover, and settle into this new season before inviting me into their home. Instead of feeling rushed, we simply planned her Central Illinois in-home newborn session for when she was one month old.
Why I love In-Home Newborn Sessions!
This is one of the many reasons I love lifestyle newborn photography so much. Unlike traditional posed newborn sessions, an in-home newborn session doesn’t have to happen within the first week or two after your baby arrives. Your session can take place whenever your family feels ready, allowing you to enjoy these first weeks together without added pressure.
One of my favorite things about every in-home newborn session is how relaxed they are. There’s no packing the diaper bag, no rushing everyone out the door, and no worrying if your little one needs to eat, be changed, or spend a little extra time snuggling with mom or dad. We simply move at your baby’s pace, capturing genuine moments as they naturally unfold.
Those quiet moments are always my favorite.
It’s Not Too Late
As I photographed Mia curled up in her parents’ arms, stretching out on the bed, and peacefully snoozing in her nursery, I couldn’t help but think about how quickly this season passes. One month may feel like you’ve already missed the “newborn window,” but you really haven’t. Your baby is still tiny, still changing every day, and your family’s love is growing right alongside them.
That’s exactly what I hope every Central Illinois in-home newborn session captures.
